Trauvo ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Trauvo mobile application and website (trauvo.app).

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Account information: name, email address, password
• Workout data: exercises, sets, reps, weights, workout duration, and notes
• Health data: body weight, body measurements, daily step counts
• Training preferences: unit preferences, planned training days, target rep ranges
• Mood and rating data: post-workout ratings and feel tags

Information collected automatically

• App usage data: features accessed, screens viewed, session duration
• Device information: device type, operating system version
• Analytics data: event tracking via Google Analytics to improve the app

Health platform data (with your permission)

• Step count data from Apple Health (iOS) or Google Health Connect (Android)
• We request read-only access to step data only — we do not access any other health data from these platforms
• This permission is optional and can be revoked at any time in your device settings

Google account data (with your permission)

• If you use the data export feature, we access your Google Drive solely to create export files on your behalf
• We use the drive.file scope, meaning we can only access files that Trauvo itself creates — we cannot access any existing files in your Google Drive
• We do not store your Google credentials

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Trauvo app and its features
• To calculate training volume, analytics, and progression insights
• To generate AI-powered training insights via the Anthropic Claude API
• To send weekly training summary emails (Premium users who opt in)
• To process subscription payments via RevenueCat, Apple, and Google
• To detect achievements, personal records, and training milestones
• To improve the app through anonymised usage analytics
• To respond to support requests

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not transfer your data to third parties except as strictly necessary to operate the app's features that you choose to use. We share data only with the following service providers, solely to operate the app:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
• Anthropic — AI insight generation (anonymised training data only, not personal identifiers)
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• SendGrid — transactional and summary emails
• Google Analytics — anonymised app usage analytics
• Google — data export to Google Sheets (user-initiated, to the user's own Drive)

4. Google User Data & Limited Use

When you use Trauvo's data export feature, Trauvo requests access to your Google account using the drive.file scope. This scope allows Trauvo to create new spreadsheet files in your Google Drive on your behalf and to access only the files it has created. Trauvo cannot view, read, or access any other existing files in your Google Drive.

Trauvo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

• We only use Google user data to provide and improve the user-facing data export feature.
• We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve that feature, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition.
• We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements.
• We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless we have your affirmative consent, it is necessary for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), to comply with applicable law, or the data is aggregated and used for internal operations in line with applicable privacy requirements.
• We do not store your Google credentials.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained longer.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data (available via the data export feature in the app)
• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data directly from the app (Profile → Delete Account)
• Correction: Update your personal information at any time in the app
• Portability: Export all your data to Google Sheets via the app
• Objection: Opt out of non-essential communications in notification settings

7. Health Data

Trauvo takes health data seriously. Your workout data, body weight, measurements, and step counts are stored securely and are never shared with third parties for advertising, insurance, or employment purposes. Health data is used solely to provide and improve Trauvo's features.

8. Children's Privacy

Trauvo is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), row-level security on all database tables, and secure credential storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

10. International Users

Trauvo is operated from the United Kingdom. If you are accessing the app from outside the UK or EU, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws. By using Trauvo, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of Trauvo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
